Visual textures 05/01/20

L.Q: What is visual texture?
Visual texture is a texture that you can see but not feel it, for example, you drew a dog and you draw all the tiny little hair, it might look like it is fluffy and hairy but when you touch the picture you can't feel the hair.

Why does an artist use visual texture?
An artist uses visual texture to show how something feels

What is rubbing?
Rubbing is when you use oil pastel and using an actual texture that you can find and rub your crayon on the texture over the paper to the texture on paper.

How did you do it?
I did it by looking for textures around the art room and using an oil pastel(color of our chose) and rubbing the oil pastel on the paper over the texture.
Some textures that I did.
my footprint the texture on the chair, a keyhole, the texture on a computer, the texture of the buttons on the printer and much more.

W.W.W: I was able to fill my whole page and collect a variety of visual textures using only the items around the room

E.B.I: it would be even better if I labeled the textures so that I would have a better understanding of how each texture look like.
