Revolting Rhymes - Project Lesson: 6/10

Learning Question: How can you create your own revolting Rhyme or Story?


Outcomes:

1. To use Imagination to create an original idea and rhyming verse

2. Understand Creative process: Discuss – Plan – Write plot – Characters - Rehearse

3. Contribute ideas to enhance group work (if you choose to work in a group or pair)



Activity:

For this project, you are asked to create your own Revolting Rhyme that you will write and then record a performance of that shows the application of skills and techniques for this art form. DEADLINE 7TH JUNE

  • You should base your story on an existing tale that you know well.
  • You can continue with the example you were working on last week or choose your own.
  • Your Revolting Rhyme should have at least 3 verses, each a minimum of 6 lines each. (if you continue with Cinderella the first verse I gave last week  is not included in your 3 but you can include it
  • You need to show evidences of rhyming verse in your work?
  • You have 4 Tasks to complete- 1- 4 are outlined below.
  • Create a new BLOG POST for each task ( E.g Task 1-Artistic vision)
  • Also, Copy and Paste the marking criteria attached to each task & the Learning Question as you TITLE on your BLOG POST



Task 1- Artistic Vision- Ci: identify an artistic intention

Artistic intention simple means your ideas vision for your work, in this case, your Rhyme

Outline ideas for Rhyme with imaginative characters and plot lines

Create a brainstorm or mind map like the diagram shown below to complete these activities

A) PLOT- type the heading in the middle and come up with plots, events that are key to the story that you would like to include in your Revolting Rhyme



                                                                             

TASK 2- PROCESS & PRODUCT

Bi: demonstrate the acquisition and development of the skills and techniques of the art form studied

Cii: outline alternatives, perspectives, and imaginative solutions.

A) Under this task heading show evidences of your ideas- This means verses you have constructed. This should include mock versed. Do not delete things. It would be good to show progress.

Extension

Write a rhyming verse to introduce the main character?

B) Final Idea-

Here you will copy and paste the final idea that has made it to your final version of your Revolting Rhyme

Task 3- Performance

Aii: demonstrate knowledge oof the art form studied

Bii: demonstrate the application of skills and techniques to create, perform and/or present art. Using the voice, rhythm, expressions creatively

Produce a recording of your delivering/performing your Revolting Rhyme

Task 4- Reflection

Diii: Evaluate elements of the Revolting Rhymes

Complete written reflection of group evaluation of the process and product (the final written Rhyme Or your performance).
